LANGLEY, February 26 2024: Langley United Soccer Association (LUSA) is delighted to announce a significant milestone in the realization of the NEW Smith Athletic Park. Today, Mayor Woodward and the esteemed Council have voted in favor of Phase One, marking a pivotal moment in our community’s sporting infrastructure.
This achievement stands as a testament to a promise fulfilled—a promise made to our members and the wider community. It is a humbling experience to witness our collective vision materialize into reality. Through the unwavering support of our membership, we have empowered a Mayor and Council committed to investing in the betterment of our community.
In a world filled with distractions, the NEW Smith Athletic Park emerges as a beacon for personal growth, offering our youth a space to challenge themselves, expand their horizons, foster teamwork, and evolve into resilient citizens.

Phase One of the NEW Smith Athletic Park sets the stage for our LUSA teams to grace the pitch as early as fall 2025. Looking ahead, Phase Two aligns with our 100-year centennial celebration and the eagerly anticipated arrival of the World Cup in 2026.
